International Opportunity
We live on Earth, not just our respective country.
Lets talk about international stocks and opportunity abroad. First, I recommend everyone reading to get your passport if you haven’t already. Often we can get stuck in the midst of our individual nation, forgetting there is a whole world out there to see. This is exactly how I feel about international stocks. I’m 24 years old (March Baby), and my whole life stocks around the world have been extreme underperformers relative to the US. While this could very well continue, it could also change. This does not mean the United States has to give negative forward returns. The name of the game is outperformance. And so far this year, international stocks appear to be in the lead.

Returns from Greatest to Least: Poland, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Germany, Norway, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, China, France, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Israel, Canada, Japan, Australia, United States $SPY ( ▲ 1.11% )
World Overview
Here’s a ratio chart of essentially Earth vs. the United States. This trendline has been hard resistance going back to 2011. If we see a breakout, it could signal the long term downtrend of underperformance might be over. If this holds resistance as it has the last 5 attempts, then everything goes back to normal. Normal meaning, that US stocks continue to be the place to be. Again, outperformance is the goal. The S&P could be up 25% in a year while another country is up 75%.

The Best Looking Nations
These next few charts will feature countries that have gotten very close to breaking out versus the S&P over a longer time frame. If you notice, they’re the same countries that’s leading the world in returns this year.

Individual Names
Here are 6 of my favorite international stocks. The best current setup out of the 6 has to be $CRDO ( ▲ 8.69% ) , in my humble opinion.

Cayman Islands

Israel

Ireland

Luxembourg

Canada

Singapore
Conclusion
Being a United States citizen, I hope our stocks continue to outperform the world. Although sometimes in life, you don’t always get what you want so it’s important to be open minded. The US is well equipped to continue this leadership, but having a backup plan is essential. Feel free to reach out, and let me know your thoughts about all this. As always thank you for reading and blessings to all!
